New Delhi: Skoda has launched the new 2025 Slavia sedan in India. This new model comes with many updated features. It also has some small changes to its design. The company announced that the car is now available for customers.
The 2025 Skoda Slavia aims to be a top choice in the mid-size sedan market. It competes with cars like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Volkswagen Virtus. Skoda has also reduced the prices of some models. This makes the new Slavia a more attractive option for buyers.
This new version keeps the things people loved about the old Slavia. But it adds more technology and comfort. Let’s look at all the new features in detail.
What’s New on the Outside?
The 2025 Skoda Slavia keeps its classic and elegant look. The design is sharp and looks premium.
At the front, you will see the famous Skoda grille. It has a chrome border. This makes the car look wide and strong. The headlights are new and sleek. They use LED lights. You can get this engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Or you can choose a 6-speed automatic (torque converter) gearbox. The company says this engine can give a mileage of up to 19.62 kmpl.
The second engine is for people who love to drive. It is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine. This is a very powerful engine. It produces 150 horsepower (PS) and 250 Nm of torque. This engine makes the car very fast and fun to drive on highways.
This 1.5-litre engine also has a special technology. It is called Active Cylinder Technology (ACT). This technology can shut down two of the four cylinders when you are driving gently. For example, when you are cruising on the highway. This saves a lot of fuel. When you need more power, the two cylinders start working again instantly.
This bigger engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Or you can get the advanced 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This DSG gearbox changes gears very quickly. This engine gives a mileage of about 18.45 kmpl.
Both engines are now E20 fuel-ready. This means they can run on petrol that has 20% ethanol.
Safety is a Top Priority
Skoda is known for making very safe cars. The Skoda Slavia already has a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. This is the highest rating a car can get.
The 2025 model continues to be very safe. It comes with six airbags as a standard feature. This means even the base model gets six airbags.
