New Delhi: Reliance Jio has announced a very big new offer. The company has partnered with Google. They will give many Jio users free access to Google’s advanced AI.

This new plan is called the “Google AI Pro” plan. Eligible Jio users will get this plan for free for 18 months. The total value of this free offer is ₹35,100. This is a major step to bring powerful artificial intelligence (AI) to millions of people in India.

This move comes after other companies also announced free AI offers. Airtel is offering Perplexity AI Pro for free. OpenAI is also giving its ChatGPT Go plan for free in India. Now, Jio has entered this “AI race” with a strong offer from Google.

What is the Jio Gemini Offer?

This is not a small gift. The “Google AI Pro” plan is a premium subscription. It gives users Google’s best AI tools.

Here is what you get for free:

  • Access to Gemini 2.5 Pro: This is Google’s most powerful and advanced AI model. It can understand text, images, and audio. It is much smarter than the free version of Gemini. It can help you write emails, plan trips, code, or be more creative.
  • 2 TB of Cloud Storage: This is a very large amount of storage. Users will get 2 Terabytes (TB) of space. This storage can be used across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. You will not have to worry about running out of space for your emails or photos.
  • AI in Google Apps: The Gemini AI will be added directly into apps you use every day. This includes Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and more. For example, AI can help you write a long report in Docs. It can also summarize your emails in Gmail.
  • Advanced AI Tools: Users also get access to special tools. This includes “Nano Banana” for creating images from text. It also includes “Veo 3.1,” a tool that can make videos from your ideas.
  • NotebookLM Access: This is a special tool for students and researchers. It helps you take notes, summarize documents, and study better.

The regular price for this plan is ₹1,950 per month. Jio users will get it for 18 months at no cost.

Who Can Get This Offer?

For now, the offer is starting with a specific group of users.

  • Age Group: The offer is first available for Jio users who are between 18 and 25 years old.
  • Jio Plan: You must have an active unlimited 5G plan. This includes both prepaid and postpaid plans. The plan must be ₹349 or higher.

Jio has said this is only the first step. The company plans to expand this offer very soon. It will “swiftly expand” to include all Jio customers across the country.

How to Activate the Offer

Getting the free plan is simple. Eligible users must follow these steps:

  1. Open the MyJio app on your smartphone.
  2. Look for a “Google Gemini offer” banner on the home screen.
  3. Tap on the banner.
  4. You will be asked to register. You must log in with your Google (Gmail) account.
  5. Once you register, the “Google AI Pro” plan will be activated on your Google account.

The 18-month free period starts from the day you activate the offer.

Why Is This Happening?

This partnership is about more than just a free offer. It is part of a bigger plan for both companies.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance, said they want to make India “AI-empowered.” They want every citizen to be able to use smart tools.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, said this partnership will bring Google’s best AI to India.

This partnership is also for businesses. Reliance will help bring Google’s AI tools to companies across India. This will help businesses grow and use new technology. This big move shows that AI is becoming a normal part of our digital lives.
