The iQOO 15 is an upcoming flagship smartphone set to launch in India with high-end specifications and gaming-focused features. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and is expected to feature a large 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz 2K display, and a triple 50MP camera system with periscope zoom.

Design and Build

The iQOO 15 is expected to feature a premium design with a marble-like texture finish. It will come in a new color variant called Lingyun. The phone may have a metallic marble frame with flat edges. This gives it a solid, high-end look.

An RGB light strip is also expected on the back. This is common in gaming smartphones. The back panel will have a color-changing effect. This adds a unique visual appeal. The device will be water resistant. It may carry an IP68+IP69 rating. This means it can survive dust and water exposure. The build quality will be durable. It will support daily use and gaming sessions.

Display Features

The iQOO 15 will have a 6.85-inch AMOLED display. It uses Samsung’s M14 luminescent material. The screen resolution will be 1440 x 3168 pixels. This is a QHD+ (2K) display. The refresh rate will be 144Hz. This ensures smooth scrolling and gaming.

The display type is LTPO. It helps save battery by adjusting refresh rates. The screen will be flat, not curved. It will have an AR anti-glare coating. This reduces reflections in sunlight. Polar-less depolarisation tech will improve visibility.

Brightness levels may reach 6000 nits. This makes the screen clear even in direct sun. The display will have a punch-hole cutout. It will house the front camera. The screen-to-body ratio is expected to be around 90.2%.

Performance and Hardware

The iQOO 15 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. This is Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. It will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM. Options may include 12GB or 16GB RAM. Storage will be UFS 4.1 type. Users can choose 256GB or 1TB variants.

The phone will have iQOO’s in-house Q3 gaming chip. This boosts gaming performance. It reduces lag and improves frame rates. An upgraded X-axis linear motor will be included. This gives better vibration feedback. The device will support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

It will have NFC, IR blaster, and dual SIM 5G. Satellite communication may also be supported. This allows emergency messaging without network.

Battery and Charging

The iQOO 15 will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery. This is one of the largest in any flagship phone. It will support 100W wired fast charging. The battery can charge quickly. A 50W wireless charging option will also be available. Reverse charging may be supported too.

This lets users charge other devices. The battery uses silicon-carbon (Si/C) tech. This helps in faster charging and longer life. With this battery, users can expect all-day use. Heavy gamers can play for hours without charging. Even with 5G and high refresh rate, the phone will last long.

Camera System

The iQOO 15 will have a triple rear camera setup. The main sensor will be 50MP with f/1.88 aperture. It will use a 1/1.5-inch sensor size. Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) will be included. The second camera will be a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. It will support 100x digital zoom. iQOO has shared sample images showing zoom quality. The third lens will be a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

It will have an f/2.0 aperture. The front camera will be 50MP. It will be placed in the punch-hole. Video recording will support 8K at 30fps. 4K video can be shot at 60fps. Features like night mode, portrait mode, and slow motion will be available. The camera app will have pro modes for experts.

Software and User Interface

The iQOO 15 will run Android 16 out of the box. It will use OriginOS 6 as the custom skin. This is a shift from Funtouch OS. OriginOS offers better animations and features. It is more fluid and user-friendly. The UI will have smart features and customisation options.

Dark mode, split-screen, and app cloning will be supported. The phone will get regular security updates. Google apps will be pre-installed. The software will be optimised for gaming. It will have a gaming mode with performance controls. Users can block notifications during gameplay.

Price and Availability

The iQOO 15 is expected to launch globally in October 2025. The Indian launch may happen in November 2025. The base model could start at ₹59,999. The 16GB + 1TB variant may cost over ₹70,000. It will be sold online via iQOO’s website and e-commerce platforms. Pre-bookings may start before the launch. The phone will come in multiple color options. Accessories like cases and chargers will be available.
