Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): Full-time diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Technician Apprentice (Electrical): Full-time diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation): Full-time diploma in relevant disciplines like Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, or related fields.
• Trade Apprentice (Assistant – Human Resource): Full-time bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Trade Apprentice (Accountant): Full-time bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
• Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Minimum 12th pass but below graduate.
• Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): 12th pass with a skill certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator training (less than one year) recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 31 August 2025)

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, and EWS candidates as per government rules.

Duration of Training and Stipend

The apprenticeship training will be for 12 months from the date of engagement. During this period, apprentices will receive a stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and subsequent amendments. However, no additional facilities like accommodation, HRA, or medical benefits will be provided.

Selection Process

The selection will be done without any written exam or interview. Instead, it will be based on:

1. Merit list prepared from qualifying exam marks (percentage of marks in the prescribed qualification).
2. Document verification of shortlisted candidates.
3. Medical examination to ensure fitness as per IOCL standards.

In case of candidates securing the same marks, the tie-breaking will be resolved first by age (older candidates will be preferred) and then by marks in matriculation, if required.

   • Candidates must also apply on IOCL’s official apprenticeship portal at https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/ using the same email ID and mobile number registered on NATS/NAPS.
